You know, I recently approached a long-standing lawfirm customer about how I could save them $ switching them from the shredding service they are currently using to an in-house shredder. Their initial objection was not at all one I expected.
"I don't want my employees spending time standing there feeding the shredder."
Currently, they have two containers provided by the shredding service which the employees use to simply insert the documents into the slot in the top.
Perhaps you can help me here. What exactly is the difference here between that and dropping the documents into the slot in a shredder?
Leaving that behind, most shredding services only shred your documents to Levels 1 or 2, which can be pieced back together. They use these levels because those are the cut sizes that pay the most from the recycling companies.
Here's a good point by point comparison to study between an in-house shredder vs a shredding service. Take a minute and check it out.
